In 45 years of avid, sometimes compulsive, reading, my tastes have changed and the publishing world has finally embraced authors who aren't white and male. I feel privileged to live long enough to see this happen! I do love books from 1910-1950, so there are many white male authors in my list, but I am definitely branching out. I collect children's books, have a kid I read with, and am drawn to historical, literary, and speculative fiction. I also enjoy non-fiction: social justice, nature, history, and biography.
