In the first issue many very interesting research papers have been submitted from qualified international Scholars. We propose an overview about the main research- streams that have been chosen by the Authors. This mapping process provides the opportunity to check the guidelines for the study of economic and managerial phenomena that international scholars have followed for thirty years in the international associations that deal with economics and management, called ARETHUSE.

This book introduces the reader to the optical switching technology for its application to data centers. In addition, it takes a picture of the status of the technology and system architecture evolution and of the research in the area of optical switching in data center. The book is organized in four parts: the first part is focused on the system aspects of optical switching in intra-data center networking, the second part is dedicated to describing the recently demonstrated optical switching networks, the third part deals with the latest technologies developed to enable optical switching and, finally, the fourth part of the book outlines the future prospects and trends.

Dai vecchi appunti di suo nonno, un archeologo italo croato scopre un segreto spaventoso che fin dalla tenerà età lo ha sempre affascinato: trovare il labirinto di Meride del faraone Amenemhat III. Per puro caso, a Venezia, il giovane incontrò un docente inglese che lo portò con se nell'archivio del vaticano dove videro i documenti riguardanti quel labirinto che secoli prima erano giunti nelle mani di papa Pasquale II a Roma da Gerusalemme da due cavalieri templari. I documenti erano quattro: Due rimasero a Roma e gli altri, con uno stratagemma di un templare, furono sparsi per l'europa. Entrambi saranno presi da questa ricerca ripercorrendo le orme di Simet, una guida egiziana vissuta duemila anni prima che lo visitò con altre tre persone tra le quali il geografo Strabone lasciando un segno per i posteri. Il tempo che aveva cancellato ogni cosa da millenni però non permise a suo nonno, prima della morte, di metterci piede...
