يعرف القارئ العربى الأدب الروسى من خلال دوستوفسكي وتيشخوف وتولستوى.. الى آخر هذا الجيل الرائد الذى ظهر وتألق قبل الثورة البلشقيه ،وبعد هذا الجيل العظيم بدا وكأن روسيا تركت ساحة الرواية بدون رجعه، الى ان بدأ العالم يسمع مجددا عن الأدب الروسى في بدايات الالفية الثالثة من خلال رؤايين من أمثال : ،و و ولكن المحروسة عندما تنشر الآن رواية ذوبان الثلوج فانها بذلك تؤكد للقارئ ان روسيا قد استعادت مكانتها الادبية قبل نصف قرن من ظهور أدباء الألفية الجديدة. فلقد نشر اهرنبرج هذه الرواية عام 1954 لكى يدين عصر ستالين مثلما أدانت روايات جيل الاباء المؤسسين للأدب الروسى عهود القياصرة. لم تكن الابعاد الفكرية والسياسية هى المبرر الوحيد الذى دفع سعد زهران الى ترجمة هذه الرواية فحسب وانما يمكنا القول ايضا ان ما دفعه الى ترجمتها في ستينات القرن الماضى تأكيداً على موافقة الناقدة للستالينية، هو نفسه ما يدفعنا الى ترجمتها الان ويجعلها صالحة للقراءة واثارة الشغف بعد عشرات السنوات من نشرها، وتعنى بذلك انها رواية رائعة واستمرار لما عرفناه عن الادب الروسى من حس انسانى مرهف ورؤية عميقه للأحداث والشخصيات إن يؤكد ذلك ان الأدباء الروس لم ينقطعوا عن الإبداع الا لفترة جد وجيزة ابان حكم ستالين.

ذوبان الثـلوج

Ilya Ehrenburg was born in 1891 into the family of a Moscow manufacturer. At the age of fifteen he joined the revolutionary movement. He was expelled from the gymnasium for distributing Bolshevik leaflets, was arrested and served more than a year in prison. From 1909 to 1917 he was a resident of Paris and did much traveling throughout Europe. It was at this time that he took to writing poetry, which he printed in Russia and other countries. In 1917 he returned to his native country. In 1921 he again left for France, and lived in Paris, making frequent trips to the Soviet Union.Ehrenburg's writings show great diversity of theme and genre. Whether the work at hand was a purely literary article or a novel of fantastic cast, a story of adventure or a delicately penned novelette, a book of verse or a political pamphlet, whether he was dispensing humor or the comments of a journalist, he wielded pen with equal mastery and brilliance.The Storm was the Stalin Prize Novel for 1947.
