Sono un sardo di Barbagia. Noi sardi barbaricini capiamo di essere sardi, cioè di far parte di un territorio definito, solo quando abbiamo varcato il mare. Finché non c'è mare, non c'è Sardegna che tenga. Mi spingerei fino a dire che finché non c'è il mare non c'è nemmeno Barbagia che tenga. La costa barbaricina rifiuta la condizione di 'Caraibi del Mediterraneo', che tanto piace ai tour operator improvvisati e ai turisti da gossip. Chi navigasse da Posada ad Arbatax lo capirebbe al volo. Chi passasse per mare dalla costa gallurese, quella dove è sempre estate, a quella barbaricina, dove le stagioni si alternano, vedrebbe a occhio nudo la differenza. È proprio l'inverno che dà alla Barbagia quella profondità di territorio vivo, che fa la differenza per il viaggiatore rispetto al turista. Per un barbaricino l'inverno è quasi una condizione naturale. Certo, per chi è abituato a pensare alla Sardegna smeraldizzata, può sembrare una stranezza pensare alla montagna, al clima alpino, al freddo secco, alla neve... Eppure basta voltarsi dal mare alla terra e si possono vedere le montagne che si gettano nell'acqua. Dentro a quelle montagne abita la sostanza di un territorio ancora sconosciuto.

When Michelangelo, a young autistic child, goes missing, Commissario Sergio Striggio is put in charge of the investigation.
