5✰ “people aren't either wicked or noble.” the closer we come to the truth the more excited i am but im also sad it's ending

YEEESSSSS.

Only 2 more books to go. Can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

*4.5. The beginning was a bit slow for me but I still liked it a lot.

It was ok

This one dragged a little bit. :(

Read with the kids.

Like the rest of the books in the series, this was brilliant! There were some things that were different from the series - and even thought I ship Klaus with a certain Quagmire, the little kiss that Fiona gave him gave me butterflies.

I really liked the underwater setting, and the submarine as well. I love how it is getting to a close, and all mysteries are coming up

filler

I don't know but I just didn't connect with this book as much as I wanted to. I found myself zoning out quite often. I also just found it a bit repetive at points. Now here come all the reasons why I should have liked this book way more than I did. I thought this was one of the funier instalments in the series, especially when it came to the first half of this book. I cracked up laughing quite often. The plot of this book was also very engaging and didn't really have a dull moment, which is why I found it so weird that I zoned out so often. I think this book used the Baudelaire's specialties to a greater end, wile also pushing them out of their comfort zone. The ending also just showed how much our main characters have grown. I can't wait to continue in this series.

Tbh I liked the Netflix episode of this book more, but it was cool to actually meet Captain Widdershins here! I loved that the Count Olaf Troupe gets more backstory, and the whole mushroom incident with Sunny added a lot of suspense. The links between all the places the siblings ended up start to make sense, and to me it's a sign of a really good story when there's a big picture behind it all!

3,5.

3.5 stars. This one is one of my favourites in the whole series.

I like how we get more and more answers, but I also like how we are being kept in suspense. However, I have to wait another week for the next book.

3.75* ooh, that ending! I feel as though (or am at least hoping) we're going to be getting some answers soon...
