Cross my heart and hope to spy
Reviews

3.5 Stars So I had a lousy week and binge read this series. It was just the thing to take my mind off everything. I love Cammie and her adventures. This book took the series in a different direction, but I liked it. The title is great too. I freaking love Zach. This book took a new twist and lots of things happened. I really loved the new characters that were added and this book was just amazing. Like all the other books in the series. xoxo, Bebe

RE-READ: Sept. 06, 2017 Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy is still an innocent and all fun book to read compared to the other books in this series. This is still an introduction to the world of the Gallagher Academy. But it does dive a little bit into the secrets that it holds beyond its stone walls. Just like the first, it has the right amount of everything that you need from a fun spy book (especially one that targets an audience of pre-teens) and has a quick and easy-to-get-into pace. But you know what makes this better than the first book??? ZACHARY GOODE. He has been my first fictional crush and still is one of my crushes up until today!

I liked this book more than the previous one. Now we get a more detailed world. It's a book I love because of my childhood, though. Much lighter than the books after.

This was better than the first book in the series. I really liked Zach. This was more interesting than the first book and it's always nice to have boys in any books. :) You really should read it!

The second book in the Gallagher Girl series, this novel is both humorous, and serious at points.

Let me just start off by saying: I LOVE ZACH AND CAMMIE so much!!!!!!! I cant even express! This book portrayed Zach so well!! I got goosebumps from when they had scenes together, the tension was just unmistakable..

GAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I am loving this series! I'm just...I mean...

GALLAGHER GIRLS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!! (no thoughts other than: this book is lovely, i adore this series, and no i will not take other opinions)

I loved this series in middle school

I would like to say that anyone who hasn't read at least one novel by Ally Carter they are seriously missing out. I love the whole idea of teenage spys and Gallagher Girls just confirms that love. The world that Ally Carter creates is fun and full of loveable characters who kick ass. Cammie is great because she is just like any teen girl you would see on the street except for the fact that she is a spy-in-training. Really this book, in my opinion, is better than the first. It's bound to be when you add some spy-boys to the mix.)

“The whole summer lay ahead of us-time to rest, time to wait. And when the future comes-no matter what comes with it-I'll be smarter. I'll be stronger. I'll be ready.” I'm totally fan girling right now.

This book is actually better than the first. I like Zach a lot more than Josh, and I like that with him, Cammie doesn't need to hide 90% of her life. Having read this before, I was surprised by how much of the plot I had forgotten - I would know that a plot twist was coming, but wouldn't be able to remember what it was. I know the next book really gets into the plot for the remainder of the series, but I enjoy the first two books as we explore the world through the eyes of the spy and the training they go through at the Academy.
