Beauty and the Blacksmith A Spindle Cove Novella
Reviews

I was given this copy of Beauty and the Blacksmith through Edelweiss and Avon books in return for a honest review. I have to say that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Tessa Dare!!! Her books always strike to the heart of any reader. She has such a special talent in creating beautiful stories that are filled with romance, witty humor and fun scenes that almost make it seem vivid and real. Let me tell you a bit about the story and the characters. Diana and Aaron have secretly liked each other for two years but have never revealed their interest at all. Aaron hasn't because he believes him to be beneath Diana. Diana has been coddled all of her life, because she struggles with Asthma, but would love to have Aaron as her own. She then decides she isn't going to hide her feelings any more, and boldly goes after him. This story was absolutely a delight to read...better than a box of choclates or a mocha latte....there were quite a few scenes that just had me giggling and bursting out in laughter uncontrollably. I don't want to reveal anything but there is a certain scene involving Diana cooks for Aaron (and she has no clue on how to cook) lets just say it was totally amusing and it just turns out to be my favorite scene so far!!:) A Wonderful read that is going to be put at the top of my list of ultimate favorites. A TRUE TREASURE!!!! You don't want to miss out on this one!!! Favorite Quote His lips touched hers, imparting that unique blend of strength and tenderness she was coming to treasure. To crave.

THIS WAS SO ADORABLE OMG😍😍😍 I just wish we had more from Dianna and Aaron! It was super cute and fluffy!!

emotional funny hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted relaxing fast-paced Plot- or character-driven? A mix Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? No Flaws of characters a main focus? No 5.0

This was not my favorite of the books I've read by Tessa Dare. Its still very funny and cute but where it's a novella I had less time to learn the characters and connect with them like I usually do with her other books. The book was much more predictable in the mystery aspect than I thought it would and I felt a little bummed that there wasn't much tension.... Picky I know. Usually I love Tessa Dare. I think I wont read the rest of the Spindle Cove books. Stick to her full novels instead of her novelas.

This novella really solidified for me just how boring class difference and family disapproval are as obstacles to a romance. You've got to have some other main plot going on or my brain just checks out. The resolution of the missing objects subplot was dumb. My least favorite work by Tessa Dare so far.

Miss Diana Highwood is supposed to marry a lord. She's beautiful, she's perfectly mannered, she's ready to be a lady. At least, that is what Diana has been told her entire life. Now that Diana has been living in Spindle Cove for two years to help her asthma, she's learned that maybe it is time she takes the reins. She doesn't want a lord, she wants Aaron Dawes, the Spindle Cove blacksmith. Aaron has been secretly in love with Diana ever since she helped him during a fairly unpleasant medical procedure. The beauty he was too afraid to touch showed her steely backbone and her true grit, but he knows she isn't for him. So why is Diana constantly showing up at his smithy with broken trinkets? When the stoked flames of both their desires finally flare up, these two are set for an epic romance sure to scandalize the entire town. Love, love, love this novella. Plus, sex on an anvil! Huzzah!
