A Novel

I received an Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for an honest review.

It was definitely an enjoyable book, though you had to wade through a muddle plot and crass content to get to the point where it really got good.

I was a little taken aback by some of the unnecessary filfth that was in the book. My best example is someone holding a small child out of a window so it could poop, with Alex and Millicent watching and laughing at the scene. It just seemed like some weird, juxtaposed content to shock the reader rather than add anything to the plot or the scene.

The twist was late in coming and, in my opinion, really didn't have as much bang since it was easily pieced together before it was truly revealed who did it.

A book for those trying to find the next Gone Girl, although I'm a bit confused as this book appears to already have been released. Maybe this is for the paperback or US version?
