Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months

Feels like a really solid framework. One criticism for something I’ve observed in many books of this genre - labeling people with real disadvantages as having a ‘victim mindset’. It feels like propaganda to ensure that no one ever questions "the system”. I wish they had a more nuanced approach.

Gostei muito da estratégia que o livro propõe , além que a leitura traz muita motivação. Mas o autor traz algumas propostas que acho too much, meio difícil e desnecessário de se aplicar. No geral, me agregou muito!

the method is promising, the book is a waste of time. very repetivie and philosophical about 'accountability' and 'commitment'. it would have been more helpful to include more  examples and real 12 week plans. If someone is interested in this method, I'd rather recommend to watch a youtube video about it.

I’m surprised by the low rating on GoodReads, as I think the plan/strategy is solid. My guess is it’s because of the self-helpiness of the whole thing. When you read mostly in the productivity space, you’ve heard all the meta stuff before.

I would have preferred purely a how-to guide that was half the length and skipped the motivational stuff. There isn’t much to the plan itself, but it is about the execution. Time will tell as to how it works for me, but I recognize the value in it because I generally do vision/system stuff at the beginning of the year, but the full year is too long. For that reason alone I’m going to try 12 week cycles because it makes more sense. Not revolutionary, and you don’t need the book to do that, but if you’ve never done similar vision, goal setting activities this would be a good place to start.

It gets repetitive throughout the book but it’s good for business and setting goals.

Liked many of the ideas and techniques in this book, even if it is more business oriented than personal goals. But it works for both and he encourages a business/personal mesh. Getting ready to start my first 12 weeks.
