I was not expecting the pandemic and dystopian elements, but what makes it more unsettling is that there were several quotations that apply to contemporary society. It was not the typical isolated strangers stuck in a snowstorm with an internal murderer, but I was not mad about that. 

It was inevitable all three groups would be connected in the end, with Hannah’s and Meg’s group displaying some parallels - the two main characters were very similar to me. It was cleverly construed, but the ending did feel a little flat to me - it wasn’t a jaw dropping twist. However, it was riddled with action, suspense and an overall claustrophobic thriller. If you enjoy post-apocalyptic horror with the added element of a pandemic, this book is perfect!

This book is utterly horrifying. Between the cold, the disease, and the small bands of survivors that slowly dwindle down to one....it's delicious nightmare fuel.
