Loved the dynamic between the siblings’ relationships with one another and the rest of the family. I wish there was more of a background story surrounding Nikisha and Danny, I felt like this book would have benefited from having multiple POVs by all of the siblings. Dimple’s character could be frustrating but I found myself understanding her and agreeing with her perspective quite a bit, but that could be due to me being a middle child as well. Overall, the story was fast paced and an easy read. 

 “Dimple wasn’t used to the concept of forgiveness, or moving on from pain. That's probably why she didn't have any friends. She dwelled on things that hurt her so much that they ate up little parts of her that she couldn't get back. That didn't always work both ways, though. Sometimes she thought she should be forgiven because she just felt so deeply that she couldn't help what she'd said and done, and sometimes she felt so bad about what she'd said and done that she didn't think she deserved to be forgiven. So it was a shock to her system when, instead of begging for her forgiveness, or making her apologize for anything she'd said, her siblings just ... carried on as normal the next day. There was no space for dramatics, no room for tears or harbored anger. It was like they'd all just gotten everything out of their systems…” Chp 14

Captivating. It was comforting and warm - despite some of the more anxiety inducing moments. Wonderful character development - I really loved seeing how the characters grew together and accepted one another. I’m glad I picked this up on a whim. Best book I’ve read this year. And probably the best book I’ve read in a long while.

I went into this book blind and I really think that is the best way to approach this title. 
It is a family drama type of book with a twist and that's all I'm going to revel. Were following multiple POVs but mainly; Dimple Pennington.
Her father Cyril has multiple children by multiple different women and this book follows the reason why all the children have been reunited after a brief initial meeting when they were children.

This book is very entertaining, going into it blind meant that the series of events that unfolded were a complete shock to me, in the best way. 
A pretty fast paced read that touches on aspects of class and race. 
The characters for the most part are quite likeable, but towards the last 25% of this book they started to get on my nerves, if this book had of been much longer or we were exposed more to Lizzie's character I think it would have changed my opinion of the book. Our MC, Dimple is VERY naive, passive and sensitive to the point that it starts to get irritating that she, at her big age of 30 is still getting into very sticky situations that anyone with an ounce of wit wouldn't land themselves in.

The book was entertaining and I would recommend it. 
I should add; the chapters are VERY long (30-50pgs!) and I know the girlies don't love that, so bare that in mind going into this book.

This books starts so well. It has the feeling of a Jordan Peele style horror with some twisted British humour thrown in. Sadly it can’t keep up the pace — or maybe the author didn’t want to? Either way it left me bored through in the middle third and the ending felt lazy.
