Chip and Dan heath never fail to impress, one book at a time. Clear language, fantastic examples and content to the point!

This is like a practical distillation of everything discussed in Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow, but half the size and with end of chapter bullet summaries. Read it now.

One of the best books from the Heath brothers

“Any time in life you’re tempted to think, ‘Should I do this OR that?’ instead, ask yourself, ‘Is there a way I can do this AND that?’ It’s surprisingly frequent that it’s feasible to do both things. My new highlights from the book Decisive, by the Heath brothers are published: https://myhighlightz.blogspot.com/202...

Making the right decisions takes some concerted effort. If you have read "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman, you know that our gut instincts can fail us at times and that there are a few pitfalls of letting our emotions guide important decisions. In 'Decisive', Chip and Dan Heath go through a model that helps us address the four most common pitfalls in decision making by systematically following their approach. The book is useful to give you a framework for decision-making that can catch pitfalls such as framing your problem too narrowly (therefore missing opportunity areas), giving in to your biases by looking for confirming data (and disregarding or not looking into disconfirming data), etc. It's a great book and a good read for anyone who makes important decisions (who doesn't?) and would like to improve their decision-making process. I liked their simple approach with plenty of illustrative stories on how these pitfalls play out in real-life scenarios, even at the highest ranks of top companies.

Highly recommended
