not as emotional as i initially thought, and yet still feels touching and sentimental. a few cliché here and there but i love it nonetheless. that one poem about a lion in your living room is... neat. i understand why the poem inspired a wedding vow. you can feel the love when you read it.

Let me just start this review by saying that I know that poetry is subjective, and that it could be expressed in numerous ways. It's just a matter of preference of which way you'd like it to be expressed.

There were some nice bits of verses in there. Some of them admittedly struck something within me, but it was only fleeting. Most of the poetry just seemed too mundane, just expressed in flowery words. Perhaps it just isn't the kind of poetry for me. It is too much like beat poetry, and none of the smorgasbord of irony, atmosphere and metaphors that I yearn to read. It really saddens me to say that I wasn't blown away. Rhyme unintended.
