           I enjoyed this one, though IMO there wasn't enough Mavis! My big issue with this one was that I felt like Eve (and, to a lesser extent, Roarke) were ridiculously melodramatic with the whole suspension thing. I mean, it must have sucked, but she it was only going to be a temporary thing but she spent a huge chunk of the book wailing "they took my badge! They took my badge!" It just got silly. And the whole silly little ceremony that took place in Whitney's office at the end of the book (to return Eve's badge) was just eye-rolling. 

Nevertheless, it had a great, creative premise and suspense, so it was a great addition to the series.

I've read this series because I love Eve and Roarke, and the majority of the other characters. They're pretty awesome to read and I give a lot of leeway with writing on Robb's part because of it.

This is a great installment in the series. Everything is always focused on the case and even the extra fluff with Eve and Roark only serves to make them stronger as a pair. I absolutely loved this. I was tearing up at the end, and I rarely do that with books.
