Unleashing the Creative Potential Within Us All

Creative Confidence

Henry Sorensen

Second read through. A bit dated, but definitely still great principles. I’d love an updated version of it. Few other books have made me want to be more creative in all aspects of my life than this one.

I have always loved IDEO and every single document they put out.
Creative confidence was just as good, but it lacked the surprise element I have always had as a reader. Most of the book felt "been there" situation. Although I do have to tell you is a book that encourages not to read that much, but do. And that is the main thing about Creative Confidence, it will push you to read a few pages, drop your Kindle and start doing. The mantra remains the same. We are all creative.

For some reason, this book dragged my momentum of reading 1 book per month. It might just be me but it felt slow to read

This book is about starting to be creative in your everyday life and worklife. With a few practices you can do by yourself or in a group.

It's about being more creative in your life and doing that with confidence!

I loved it! truly inspiring to start being more creative and trying to solve everyday problems in a more creative way.

I recommend the book to everybody who wants to live a more creative life or (like me) want to start a more creative career

Quick read from the IDEO team, some familiar stories if you know a bit about the design lab but always a welcome reminder.

I had problems finishing this book.

But it was not the book, it was me. You know, I’ve been working on the ‘creative’ field for a long time and this book felt like it was preaching to the converted to me. Somehow a lot of IDEO books have the same effect I feel.

I see the importance of this book and I would definitely recommend reading this if you are still not convinced on how important is creativity as a skill and way of living. If you are convinced and more importantly, if you are living a creative life, go to your next book. ☺️
