Was not expecting the ending, not sure how I feel about it, but this was one of the most captivating books in the series so far

           wow. this fast paced plot was definitely a lot to keep up with but so worth it. the plot twists were unexpected and so well done i was on the edge of my seat while reading. the ending was good and i cant want to see just how laurie plans on turning fortuna back into a nightmare. i LOVE cyrus the new information on his character makes me love him even more. collith, what a snake, will forever be hated from this book forward. god who would’ve known?? i am excited to see what viessa does with her newfound power, i’m sure she will be stirring up trouble. overall a very interesting book to read and i am eager to move onto the next.

This series just continues to tear at my heart with its cliffhangers. 
Fortuna Sworn is one of my favorite characters and I have so many feelings about her journey in this book and man can I not wait for the fourth book to come out and see what this character has to offer.

I just want to thank K.J. Sutton for providing my an ebook copy of Deadly Dreams to review.

This out of the 3 books in the series this one was the weakest, in my opinion, *hides*. I felt like Fortuna's character instead of going forwards, she went backwards. I understand that she is suffering from PTSD with the events of the last book, that's not my issue. It felt like the plot went 2 steps towards and 3 steps back. Fortuna seemed whiny in this book and all she was truly doing in this book was running. Away from her dreams, from the people she cared about, and trying to outrun herself. 

Also, some of the issues in this book could've been solved if there was just communication! God it made me so mad that Fortuna told Lauire everything she did to bring Collith back, and Collith still had no clue. And he's supposed to be 'the one'. Dracula is in this book for some reason, and I laughed when I saw that, he had no true purpose of being there other than (view spoiler)[ to put vampire blood on her coffee so that she wouldn't truly die  (hide spoiler)]

Will I continue to read this series? Yes, because I need to know what is going to happen next with Collith, let's be honest.

I always enjoy this series. The books are good fun, dark, and intriguing. I love the characters and the complicated relationships throughout. I think the relationships both friendships and romantic are by far my favorite part of this series. 

I enjoyed a lot of the plot, but I think Sutton just tried to do too much. Some things were more drawn out and you really got to understand the motivations and thoughts behind the decisions good and bad. Unfortunately, most things seemed rushed. Whether that be a plot point from previous books that was off hand wrapped up in a couple of pages, or impulse decisions that really didn't make a lot of sense and felt more like something purely there to get the story moving in a certain direction rather than something a character would actually do.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can't wait for the next in the series.
