I enjoyed it but not as much as the first book in the series.

Oh this man can grovel alright

Walk him like a dog Grace 🦮

In "The Mistake" by Elle Kennedy, I found myself immersed in the whirlwind world of college romance and sports drama. As a junior and star hockey player, John Logan's life seems like a never-ending parade of parties and hook-ups, but beneath his charming exterior lies a deep-seated fear about his post-graduation prospects. When Logan crosses paths with Grace Ivers, a freshman with a sharp wit and a no-nonsense attitude, I couldn't help but be drawn into their complex dynamic. Grace, having experienced heartbreak in her freshman year, is back at Briar University with a newfound determination to assert herself and demand respect in her relationships. What struck me most about "The Mistake" was the depth of character development. Logan is more than just a typical jock; he's a flawed and relatable individual grappling with his own insecurities. Meanwhile, Grace is a refreshing departure from the typical damsel in distress, refusing to be treated as anything less than an equal. As Logan sets out to win Grace back, I found myself rooting for his redemption and personal growth. Through witty banter and steamy encounters, their relationship evolves into something far more meaningful than either of them could have anticipated. Elle Kennedy's storytelling prowess shines through in "The Mistake," as she deftly navigates themes of love, forgiveness, and second chances. With its engaging plot, well-developed characters, and palpable chemistry, this novel kept me hooked from beginning to end. Overall, "The Mistake" earns a solid four-star rating in my book. It's a captivating romance that will leave readers eagerly turning pages until the very end.

it's okay

See, this was surely more interesting than the The Deal. And I’ll admit Logan and Grace are a tad better couple. Needless to say, the sex scenes were not disappointing. IT WAS FUCKING HOT, MAN. I am a sucker for the “guy chases after the girl, second chance trope”, so I went through with this. Yay for me. This was absolutely swoon-worthy, had quality banter, and this couple had undeniably good chemistry, so gracelogan might just be my Off-Campus ship of choice just yet. They were able to give me that emotional and physical connection they had I wanted to walk onto oncoming traffic and wished the next breath I took was my last. But again, too much Y/N vibes it was repulsing. I don’t know why the author is trying so hard to write her heroines as “different from other girls” by constantly putting down other women to get the male lead’s attention.

Meu Deus!

I’m not sure what it was about John Logan that made me love him more than Garrett from The Deal. But I did. Adding, the way Grace stands her ground made her such a likable character. These two made this book in the Off-Campus series just so much more enjoyable to me. It’s not some deep, life changing read but it’s easy and fun and I loved it. There’s no real cliche trope to drive the plot which was different for me as it’s what I usually read. But as I said earlier, I loved Grace and Logan’s characters so it being a character driven novel was alright with me. Elle Kennedy knows how to deliver a guilty pleasure, lighthearted read and that’s exactly what this is. EDITED: Ugh! Reread this book again and I loved it just as much as I loved it the first time.

The fact that I constantly found myself either burst with laughter or swooning like a Love sick teenager makes this book an instant favorite. Was it sad? Yes, and I’m such a beautiful and realish way. Was it adorable? Oh my gosh yes! Was it funny? Would you laugh if you saw a giant hockey players calmly taking pictures of his almost naked best friend as if it was the most normal thing in the world while a football player stands there confused and lost?! Because I sure burst into laughter reading about it. And as much as I loved Garrett I have to say Jonny is my favorite so far.

will write a mini review later but this one is sooo good!!!

3,75 (only because at the end of it i got into a reading slump)

4,5 stars john freakin logan, that’s it, that’s the review.

The Mistake: 2/5 Once again. Don't really know how to rate this Idk what makes these books so addictive but I straight up couldn't put this book down. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. But it's also bad. Another iconic bad boy Wattpad story just waiting for me to EAT UP. I'm gonna read the rest of them too. I have no choice.

3.75 ⭐

I liked this one way better than The Deal. Much more believable and cute. Felt like a (sexy) hallmark movie

okay this book was the cutest, I loved Logan and Grace 🥹

it's okay. logan's had a heavy upbringing. i liked it. i have nothing to say.

honestly, this book was pure perfection for me.
from the cuteness overload to a perfect plot to a lovely love story. with great characters, fun and spicy moments and touching and real-life problems, i loved it.
i seriously don’t know how to explain how much of an amazing book it is, how talented the author is and how invested i was.
Logan is so sweet and my heart was aching for him already from the previous book, but i’m so glad with how everything worked out in every aspect of his life!!
i enjoyed every minute of it!

okay so i did kinda have high expectations after reading the deal. i loved the mistake and i loved logan and grace but their relationship wasn’t as detailed as garrett’s and hannah’s so i couldn’t really feel the connection that well or well enough. and i really liked the ending but it kinda felt rushed. but like i said i still really liked it. also i really liked how logan realized he wanted to be with grace and how he told grace he loves her! literally so cute

Omggggg loved ittttt!!!
I have to admit, I’m the first third of the book I wasn’t so “IN LOVE” with Logan. Some things just felt like it’s not my taste and stuff.
BUT LET ME TELL YOU.
It got better with every next page.
I love this series and can’t wait for Dean’s book!!!!
Highlights

“And it won’t be forever, just until Jeff comes back and takes over again. The next few years, it’ll probably feel like I’m wandering around in a pitch-black tunnel, but there is a light at the end of it. And as long as you’re with me, there’ll be a light inside of it, too. Without you, it’ll just be darkness.”

“Hannah was trying to describe love to me last semester. She said it feels like your heart is about to overflow, and that when you love someone, you need them more than anything else in the world, more than food or water or air. That’s how I feel about you. I need you. I can’t stand the thought of being without you.” He releases a shaky breath. “You’re the last person I think about before I go to sleep, and the first person I think about when I open my eyes in the morning. You’re it for me, baby.”

"Go away. I'm watching the Red Wings game tonight."
"Aw, come on, you don't even like Detroit. And it's half-pricece ticket night at the theater -I've been waiting like a week to see the Statham movie just so we could go tonight."
Now I'm gaping at him, because is he for real? "Hey, asshole, youre filthy rich. If anyone should be paying full price for movie tickets, it's you."
"I was being nice, asshole. Waiting for the cheap day so youd be able to afford it."
Then he flashes his trademark grin, the one that makes chicks drop their panties and dive onto his dick.
"Dont give me your sex grin. It's creeping me out."
His mouth stays frozen in the sex-grin position."lIl stop smiling like this if you agree to be my date tonight."
"You're the most annoying pers—“
The grin widens, and he even throws a little wink in there.
Ten minutes later, we're out the door.
Already in love with Dean and it’s not even his book

Garrett snorts. "Brilliant minds at work. Terrific Grace, how your sweet ass”
IM DYING

"What are you doing?"I demand. "Texting Wellsy. She needs to know this." "I hate you." I'm so busy glaring at Garrett that I dont notice what Tucker's up to until it's too late. He snatchcs the notepad from the table, studies it, and hoots loudly. “Holy shit. G, he rhymed jackass with Cutlass." "Cutlass?" Garrett wheezes."Like the sword?"

"1just have one question," Garrett starts. "Really? Tuck says. “Because I have many."
i love them

"Congrats on your wide-open schedule," I grumble."But I'm not going out with you."

"So how crazy is it about Connor? First round pick that's gotta be good for his ego."
BEDARD??

The deal?!? 🪑🧍♀️

"Seriously, Grace, don't stress. You know what they say-haters be hating, and bitches be bitching."
bitches be bitching 🥶

"Gee, I'm so sorry you're upset, Ramona. What can I do to make you feel better?"
GAGGED.

“What?" "Be honest," she says. "Was he actually here?" Shock slams into me. “Are you kidding?"
dickheaddd. i hate her sm

Talk about bruising a guy's ego. Not only did she not come, but my company didn't do it for her, either?
he’s sensitive grace cmon 🙄

Oh crap. Downstairs action alert.
grace is so me

“Well, you were looking at me like you wanted me to kiss you." His blue eyes become heavy-lidded. "So I was thinking I might do that."
W rizz

Both my parents drilled the importance of forgiveness into me, of expelling the bitterness and anger instead of letting those negative emotions consume me.

First and foremost--be confident. Second--be spontaneous. Third- the only opinion that matters is your own.

Grace Elizabeth Ivers. The woman I love.
“you remembered my middle name”

Lorris? As in Logan and Morris? They fucking Brangelina’d themselves?
i adore their bromance

“Go away, G. I’m wooing.”
THIS SCENE GIVES ME LIFE

“Oh, he’s joining the team,” Dean declares. “I don’t care if I have to suck his dick to get him to agree to it.”
He’s so dedicated 🙌

When I’m with Garrett, my whole world comes alive.
they are the blueprint omfg.

Well, this has been fun, but I think I’ll go upstairs and kill myself now.
