I absolutely adore Greek Mythology and so when I found this duology I had to read it. It is set during the age of the Titans which is different from a lot of other Greek Mythology books and I loved the change of pace. The story continues so seamlessly into this second book and I think that the energy and adventure of the first book is exceeded in this sequel. As I said, I love Greek Mythology and I love how all the Gods and Goddessses are portrayed in this book. I really started to love Selene and Helios who don't appear as often in Mythology books because they are considered more a part of the Titan era than the Olympian era. Something else that I found really cool is the background storyline of Zeus and Hera's relationship and how their relationship is portrayed. You see throughout the book how much love they have for each other, in a familial way, and you see how Zeus becomes more and more obsessed with the idea of owning Hera. In most mythology she is such a strong and confident woman who does not see any reason to marry anyone let alone her brother and this book captures that sentiment perfectly. I absolutely love this book and will add it to my list of recommendations!! The one critique I do have is that I think that the last few chapters should be almost separated from the rest of the book by a subheading that says that the following chapters occur "blank" months after the final battle so that the reader has more context of what they are reading. All in all 5/5 stars. I loved this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story telling and world building was quick paced, engaging and left me wanting more. The action of this book grabbed my attention and brought me so clearly into this world, and all the challenges that Hera faced alongside her siblings. The situations that Hera encountered when it came to her goal of saving her siblings really resonated with me because I would also make sacrifices to do what it took to ensure that we could all be safely together once more. The main character was diverse and multifaceted that left me to reflect on how ones priorities shift and change when faced with challenging situations/the need to follow your own path while following the one set out for you.

I love this! I love Greek mythology and this was written wonderfully! I didn't know how I was going to feel about this book when I started it, however, it surpassed my standards for sure. This is definitely a future reread!
