3.75 ⭐️ this was a ride. This romance doesn’t follow the standard format, and although the payoff isn’t the same, I truly enjoyed this. The characters feel like rounded people, although that mostly goes for the two main characters and their bf/sibling. The miscommunication isn’t a plot point but threads through the whole book and although this is a romance it’s surprisingly sad and heart hitting. At the 90% point I had to put it down because the book surprised me with a 180 turn of where I thought it was heading. This felt more like a woman finding herself through love than a true romance. There were some spelling mistakes here and there and it was a bit long, some editing could have made this a quick read which packs a punch, now it was a little long for my liking. But a romance I didn’t hate is a plus in my book, so I would totally give Stone’s other books a shot in the future!
