Auroras Anlass Erzählung

This novel is based on the true story of a murder in Spain in 1931. Aurora Rodriquez, a product of bourgeois Spanish society, projected her political and philosophical ideas on her daughter whose conception (with a renegade priest) was pre-arranged. Hildegart appeared to be living out her mother's dreams, when at age 17, she becomes torn between lusty desires and her political destiny and her mother decides she must end her failed experiment.
