The multiple point of views was a interesting addition to say the least. At times it was a bit too much and not as focused as in the first book. The overall plot of the book was amazing, the suspense, the romance everything was great.

Strong finish to this series. Raasch really grew as a writer over the course of this!

Meh. The best part about this was Mather; it always has been. Meira is kind of a boring protagonist—I’m rooting for her, but also, I’m not super invested. I was also hoping that the writing would mature as the trilogy went on, but it didn’t. I’m sure this series is perfect for some readers out there, but it just didn’t hit my sweet spots the way I was hoping it would.

4.75 stars! This was a great conclusion to the trilogy. So much was left open in the second book that I desperately needed to be filled in this one, and that was definitely delivered. The only reason I had to knock it down that small .25 stars is because I completely predicted the ending at the beginning of the book. However, that did not stop me from loving the characters and the world, even through the end that I knew was coming. (A satisfying end, might I add, even if you expect it.)

** spoiler alert ** This book was an awesome ending to a fantastic series. For a fantasy series the ending was quite bold, taking away the magic instead of fixing the problem of the book. In this case I would say it would be pretty impossible to actually get rid of The Decay and I truly did like this ending for the world of Snow Like Ashes! It gives all of them a fresh start. It gives all of the kingdoms a startover where they can focus on the actual wellbeing of their country instead of blasting magic on people in the way the monarchs want. I actually don’t have much more to say, but I’ve grown attached to Meira and Ceridwen and I actually started to like Mather, even tho he still isn’t my favorite.

This was definitely better than the last book, and all in all, a good conclusion.

I'm not really sure what to say about this one. It ended well I suppose. It was just boring. I found myself wondering if it was ever going to end. I started skimming the pages just to get through it quicker. A dissapointing final book to a trilogy I originally liked.
