It was absolutely perfect, I didn't find anything in it that I didn't like. Everything was handled as it was supposed to be, if it weren't for the fact that I was a bit bored during the first thirty percent of the book, I would have given it five stars.

I feel in love with both Aubrey and Patrick. My heart was breaking when I read what Aubrey had to went through to finally meet Patrick. They both went through a lot in their lives, and their road to overcoming it was probably one of the healthiest I've read about.

The relationship between Aubrey and Patrick was beautiful, healthy and sweet. There’s an age gap between them, Patrick is fourth one and Aubrey twenty seven, but I love age gap romances so that wasn’t a problem for me. I have the impression that this made their dynamics actually better.

The side characters were amazing too. Colin, although I was quite skeptical about him at the beginning, eventually became my favorite side character. I'm glad he got a happy ending too.

After reading The Weight Of It All, I knew I had to read more N.R. Walker books, and this story certainly won't be my last by this author. I cried for ten minutes at the end because of how much I didn't want to finish this book.

And finally, fuck you Anton. I hope you rot in prison forever.

I think this one is probably my favourite so far of N. R. Walker's books. My only complaint of previous books was that I found it hard to relate to the main characters because in a lot of ways they were too shiny and wholesome and just a little too out of reach for me. (Not that you don't expect romanticised people in romantic novels!) But here we have two main characters with baggage. They're both burdened, but not broken. They're both 'too good to be true' for each other, but not perfect. 

I really enjoyed it. The setting was fantastic too! Made me glad to read it in winter, so I could imagine that rugged coast while I was wrapped in a blanket. And now I really want to visit KI again soon!
