Gods of Risk
Gods of Risk is a novella that expands the world of James S. A. Corey's New York Times bestselling Expanse series - now a Prime Original TV series. As tension between Mars and Earth mounts, and terrorism plagues the Martian city of Londres Nova, sixteen-year-old David Draper is fighting his own lonely war. A gifted chemist vying for a place at the university, David leads a secret life as a manufacturer for a ruthless drug dealer. When his friend Leelee goes missing, leaving signs of the dealer's involvement, David takes it upon himself to save her. But first he must shake his aunt Bobbie Draper, an ex-marine who has been set adrift in her own life after a mysterious series of events nobody is talking about. I think I can just start copy-pasting my reviews for Expanse short fiction at this point. Like the others, Gods of Risk is a nice exposé for a character and setting critical to the main series. This one ended on a happier note than the other novellas, which was refreshing.

It was decent but easily the worst Expanse thing I've read yet

Bobbie Draper’s teen nephew is the central character of this novella, and I would have liked it better if it had centered more around her instead of David. They adapted some of this content into the 4th season of the show, and I admit I like that version better.
