By being resentful of her current life, she's ultimately left herself yearning for something new. A new life. And so what does she do? She finds herself in a series of difficult and unavoidable circumstances which make her life even harder, and ultimately lead to her doom. 

Poor Charles, and their poor daughter who has to suffer from all of that.

Finalmente terminé de leer este libro. A ver, que puedo decir de este... Creo que es un libro que se merece de mucha atención y cuidado al leerlo, eso significa tener tiempo, justamente lo que no tuve cuando lo empecé a leer. Empecé con el cuando estaba con el estrés de los trabajos, exámenes, etc y pues creo que eso influyó mucho en la puntuación que le puse. No es un libro fresco, evidentemente es un clásico y hay que estar preparados para leer uno y más si lo lees estresado y quizá un poco forzado. Me pareció un libro interesante, las descripciones, aunque infinitas, fueron muy buenas y me proyectaron al momento histórico de la novela. Sin embargo, habían partes que se me hicieron muy pesadas e interminables. ¿Recomiendo leerlo? Pues si, si lo recomiendo, sobre todo para analizar la escritura y la prosa de ese tiempo. Flaubert es un maestro escribiendo, además que tiene un vocabulario que vale la pena buscar.
