this book was cozy and cute. it also made me think what dish i would ask for, if this was a real thing. which is this pasta dish my dad made but he tossed the recipe when i was younger so no one remembers. maybe ill try to recreate it now.

such a playful and relaxed treat to read—nothing taxing here. you'll find it especially enjoyable if you're familiar with different prefectures in japan and their local produce/cuisine! getting to read a book set in the city i live in was an absolute delight, and being able to nod with knowing familiarity at all the place names thrown in made the story all the more fun to visualize  

it's giving japanese slice of life with food and orange cat i knew i could trust this book
