Count on Holly Jackson to keep you reading past your bedtime in ungodly hours to finish the book.
The second half of the book proved to be a far better reading experience. However despite this, I felt the book lacking in mainly the consistency of pacing and a missed opportunity in terms of side characters.
The first 100 pages approx. was rough to get through; too many bits of information presented in a sluggish way that it was difficult to keep me invested. I also felt there was a massive opportunity to explore more about Ash and Carter’s point of views. They were great characters that could have had more screen time.
The mystery itself is wild to go through but that’s the best part about Jackson’s books, let yourself go within the story and ride the rollercoaster.

Holly Jackson is queen, this book was addictive. And the ending was just incredible. Although infelt like I had ot figured out somehow it still surprised me and twisted wjat I though I already knew.
This book isn't just a mystery it's a deep dive into family dynamics, loyaty and the meaning of justice.
This book had been invetested into bels world. Loved every second of it
