If I had read this series in order & started with this one, I probably wouldn’t have kept reading. I love the other books more because they are focused on the protagonist’s Making of a Murderer esque show Under suspicion about cold case crimes. This one also tells the protagonists own unsolved murder of her husband, and this plot arch just felt SUPER cheesy & unrealistic to me. I love me some Mary Higgins Crack, but I would maybe skip this one & go straight to Cinderella Murder.

I had to drag myself to read it. I don't know if it's because I've been almost reverse reading the series, or if I have been reading too many of them in a short time, but the story just isn't as gripping as j would have liked. I found myself inventing things to do to avoid reading it for some reason. Others in the series are better.
