I always enjoy books by John Douglas. He is a great source of knowledge in what he does, and his apparent commitment to keeping us informed as unfinished cases progress. Unfortunately for Amanda Knox and the West Memphis Three, at least by 2014, the progression was non-existent or in the wrong direction. I'm unsure of the co-author' s involvement. I'm not sure if he adds to the knowledge base or is making the text enjoyable for readers, but this is a great book. If you are interested in both broad cases where injustice prevailed, and seeing peppered smaller cases throughout, this is the book. It is big, but it reads fast. And enough facts are covered that cases like the West Memphis Three and Amanda Knox are easy to understand and follow for those, like me, who haven't known much details prior to this book.
