A fun way to wrap up 2022's reading. I didn't find the characters all that likeable to be honest, but the story idea was interesting and Grisham keeps the pages turning.

This is just so bad. It starts out with a tragic event, and you dig in wondering what the characters will do to cope. But it quickly spirals out of control into people practicing law with nothing, assuming no one will ask questions, they get i over their heads, and just none of it is believable. And Zola's family issues just don't fit into it. It doesn't make sense and the scenes just feel weird. And the emails killed me. They're so dumb. Just tell me they were sending emails and move on. I don't need every single email between the bank and a character. I don't care! I mean, give me a bone here. Let me latch onto something I can believe to keep moving forward. Skip this one, it isn't worth it. Every other book has the same David vs Goliath theme so there's nothing to miss.
