** spoiler alert **
           Crime is what it is to humanity, Frodo and Sam's ending hello?! They were literally Romeo and Juliet out here and you're telling me this?! Tolkien must have been under duress writing the final chapters it just makes no sense. Good thing there are thousands of AUs (reparative fiction? eme) in a03 and that is canon 😤

Overall, wasn't gagging much. I mean unmistakably the writing is great in terms of world-building, plot, style, etc. Had I read this a kid (with intellectual capacity to do so), I might have been super obsessed. I loved Frodo and Sam's affair but apparently it's platonic, though as a reader I just don't believe it.
