Hhh. I love conversations. Reading this screenplay is like people watching, but up close, and in writing. Aren't people just beautiful-as a concept? Jesse's a bit of a prick on this scale of scrutiny tho, but it's tolerable hahah. What a dream to have such degree of connection from day one. The things they shared were EVerything to know them as a person; their aspiration, motivation, what they expect from the world, their mundane but personally important slices of life. It's a great script for them to know each other, and for us to know them as characters, And fall for them vicariously. This is what I want from characters' dynamic, great chemistry! I'm a homebody with a limited social stamina but reading this sure made me yearn for an interaction in this panini. Some things I noted, it's a bit of a culture shock to see people being so intimate, open, and vulnerable with a stranger like that. Or maybe it's possible because it's a stranger? Because whatever we say is inconsequential to our real life? It made me reflect a bit, like, at what point have i become so guarded? Is there a place in the world where we can still feel safe like that as a woman/ a person? Or is this an utopian fiction (yo, romance IS an utopian fiction (bagi jomblo))? Also, it's such a perfect scheme for a predator or serial killer to prey. How lucky for the both of them that the genre is romance (best plot armor for safety!). Okay, not me pointing fingers at a book i actually enjoy a lot. Sorry it's my petty jealousy monkey speaking. Anw, it's a good book whether or not you've watched the movie. I also love a story with a future timeline, and I love to see them both grow and reconnect, tho I don't fancy the potential infidelity not shown in the script. Guess it's finally time for me to watch the third of the series.
