I started this months ago, and couldn't get myself to finish because I was SO ANGRY. Yet it ended up being SO GOOD. Let me explain... So when I first started reading this, I was so upset by the plot. I didn't like how Kellan and Mira had ended up and how they had met again. Nothing made sense to me and her obsession with Kellan after eight years frustrated me to no end.... but I guess that's why it ended up being so good. Her inability to move on was really relatable and I guess when you see a character outside of yourself experience that, you feel pathetic for them. Aside from that too personal touch to the story, I have to say this is one of my favorites in the series. It left me a sobbing mess, constantly flipping the page, giving me hope then stealing it away over and over and over. That long torment on my emotions paid off though. It was a great great great start to the second arc of the series. I LOVE Kellan and Mira. Their story was heart-wrenching and heat-shattering at moments, yet always made it up with the reunion and hope the two had for each other. This couple, has honestly, probably gone though the most any pair had gone though in one book. I cannot imagine being either one of them, because even just reading it, I felt my stomach flipping, heart racing, eyes tearing, etc. It was just really well done. There was a lot of action and emotions, giving it a great balance. I just hope after this book, they can just be happy together forever. They really deserve it. Kellan was great; I loved seeing him evolve from that awkward angsty little boy. While I hated him at the beginning, after learning his reasons and intentions, my heart melted. He was a great hero in the story, noble, loyal, always reverent and respecting Mira and her strength as a warrior as well. Mira, like Kellan, started off annoying and too angsty for me. I missed the cute little girl who wouldn't take no for an answer. As the story went on, however, that came back more and more. Ugh all I can say is that they are PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. If the book had ended any other way, I would have flipped so many shits. Beyond the two main characters, I enjoyed seeing the old characters come back. Parts of the relationships did make me uncomfortable such as Lucan and his son's relationship. I can see it becoming part of a central plot later on. Love Nathan. Excited for his novel. Only downside is that there are SO many characters now, I'm having a hard time keeping track. So many new characters, so many children of old characters, etc. I'm going to need to create a family tree...

This is my first Lara Adrian Book and I have no regrets. Edge of Dawn is an exciting and enjoyable read. The characters were awesome. After reading this book I am eager to read the Midnight Breed Series so I can have a better understanding of how it all began. This was an easy read. The story grabbed me from the very first page and held my attention throughout the end. The romance between Kellan and Mira was sweet and realistic. This was a love that had spanned several years. The love scenes were hot. I loved how Kellan was willing to sacrifice himself for Mira. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to fans of paranormal romance.

************SPOILERS************* OK so it was kind of confusing at first seeing as though I haven't read this series in awhile so I had to remember what happened in the last book. To make matters crazy all the kids had grown up and were not fighters. The first Dawn happened and you are thrown 20 years into the future, but anyway that didn't get m=in my way of enjoying the book. Mira grew up to become a warrior of the Breed fighting along side the males and even becoming captain of her own team. She was set on getting revenge for Kellan dying that night and to find out he was alive SHOCKER!!!!!!!. What Kellan saw in her eyes that night made him run away from her 8 years earlier and now he regret it. When they finally come to terms Mira learns what he saw and is heartbroken about it trying to fix in in some way, but when the day comes and everything Kellan saw in her eyes come true I will not lie I did THROW MY IPAD..I just couldn't read anymore but I had to finish it. I didn't even think about Tess and Raft using their gift to bring in back I was so caught up in what was happening. I am glad that they had their HEA but now the Order has a new enemy to deal with, a more powerful one and the next few books will be very interesting.
