I really enjoyed the story, it was interesting and kept my attention. The characters were quite intersting also. I loved the setting, and the story. Overall, really good MG book.

That just about sums up my opinion of the book. At first the quirky flow of the prose felt a lot like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy but then Emerson delves into the heart of the narrative and adopts the voice of his protagonist, Liam. So much of the remainder of the book includes so many sci-fi tropes, things I've seen in The Hundred, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Doctor Who, and so much more. 

I will not run out to immediately read the rest of the series but I also will not recommend against it.
