The Penultimate Peril (A Series of Unfortunate Events #12)

While very little has been revealed about this next to last title in the SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS series, this book does have things getting much worse, an evil Count Olaf, and the Baudelair Orphans losing a contest.

Actual rating: 3.5 stars. So much happened in this book that was exciting but a lot of it was just repetition.

Estoy cansada de estos libros, por eso nunca leo sagas tan largas.

This is definelty my favourite in the series (so far). I think this book is just so action packed and doesn't have a dull moment. The previous eleven books really come together in this book. Literally as a lot of the previous characters show up again but also figuratively because all the things the Baudelaire's learned over those books come in to use in this book. I liked the direction this book took the story in, especially when it came to the ending. It all just came to an interesting end and really raised a lot of moral questions. I just want to get to the final book in this series already and figure out all the mysteries left.

This was definitely my least favorite book in the saga.

I have absolutely no idea why I rated this 2 stars before when it's definitely more of a 3.5.

3.75* another fun addition to the series. I really enjoyed all characters that returned in this and the fact that the Baudelaire's somewhat had more people on their side! I can't wait to see how this all wraps up in the end. I'm just hoping (although doubting) all my question will finally be answered...

This story is just great. I love how the Baudelaires keep on struggling to find the difference between right and wrong, and why everyone has reasons for doing what they do.
