Jane Austen at Home A Biography
Reviews

Worsley provides vivid details of Jane Austen's residences, furnishings, gardens, and neighborhoods throughout the biography, bringing these settings to life. We also witness the impact that these homes had on Jane and her profession. Worsley walks us through Jane's life's ups and downs, family celebrations and calamities, and, most revealingly, the everyday components of life that she so accurately observed and captured in her novels. The only improvement I could make to the virtual tour of Jane Austen at Home would be a real tour with Lucy Worsley as a guide.

A great look at Jane Austen's life, family, homes and the influence all of this had on her books!

A brilliant biography of one of the greatest writers. The detail was fascinating. A must-read for any fellow Jane Austen fan, and also anyone interested in Georgian history.
