Lighthearted story, quite enjoyable. I saw someone saying that the series are like a sitcom, and I totally agree! This is the first one I have ever read, not sure if it was a mistake as there is more backstory until now.

I love the Agatha Raisin series and this one is no exception. They're great easy reads with brilliant characters, especially the titular Agatha Raisin. The plots are excellent and I never normally work out who the culprit is.

Agatha returns back home after a 6 month leave and struggles to fit back into the routine of small town village. Nothing like a murder to get you back into things. Her and Mr. Lacey are contracted to solve the murders that keep happening surrounding the local rambling group full of political protesters and IRA. Things also take a sudden turn in their personal relationship as well. Funny, little cozy mystery.

A surprisingly uneventful Agatha Raisin mystery! The characters are fairly uninteresting, the plot is weak and even dear old Agatha lacks her usual craziness... This read was a bit of a disappointment but I hear this is one of the least enjoyable installment in the series. I hope Mrs Raisin's next adventures will be more fun to read:)

While the events were enjoyable, I could have done without the "hot tale" on feminism being terrible and feminists being horrible people.
