An enjoyable Agatha Raisin mystery and a quick, light read. I particularly enjoyed the setting of the seaside village of Fryham and the elderly residents of Agatha's hotel. Still, this read was a bit disappointing to me compared to other Agatha Raisin books I have read in the past and I now find myself enjoying MC Beaton's Hamish Macbeth mysteries more than Agatha Raisin ones.

The library interrupted my plan to read more Ian Rankin by informing me that the next two Agatha Raisin books were now available... so here we are! I guess that shows you the esteem I hold Mrs Raisin in! 

This book started off really well. An interesting premise, new location that I could imagine pretty vividly, and new characters that I enjoyed getting to know. I just had a little trouble with the pacing, and I found it a little hard to get to the end. 

Nonetheless, I enjoyed it overall. Agatha is so clever, but also so silly. She's horrible to people, but occasionally really very compassionate. I am a LITTLE worried I'll be her in my 50s, but also not too sad about it.
