Disappointment, disappointment! 

The last few Agatha Raisin mysteries I have read have been disappointing but I keep trying as I am always hoping things will get better... Well I think it's time I gave up on this series. Actually, I think it's time M.C. Beaton gave up on this series as well! 

What struck me most here was the poor quality of the writing. In the last few instalments I read the plot wasn't terribly exciting and it lacked the humour of the original books but at least story was well-written. Hiss and Hers feels like it was written by a different author altogether. The style was choppy and very unpleasant. The plot itself wasn't terribly interesting and I had a hard time getting into the story.

This is probably the last Agatha Raisin mystery I read, too bad!

About what you would expect from a Raisin novel. It definitely shows how much of a formula we get with these books. I don't think its a bad thing, but you should be prepared for the same old, same old with this one.
