The Science of Monsters
Modern audiences do not find dragons frightening. Fascinating as mythical creatures, yes, but terrifying, no. Yet, present them with a story about a virus that can kill a healthy adult in hours and they will have nightmares for weeks. This title explores monsters that have haunted humanity throughout the ages, from Medusa to sea serpents, giants.

Medusa's Gaze and Vampire's Bite: The Origins of the Creatures We Love to Fear was an interesting read filled with information regarding the theories and possibilities of how many mythological creatures came into existence. The in depth research was definitely fascinating and the theories regarding mutations in animals and the human population were the parts that captivated me the most. Overall the book was alright and I would recommend it to those who enjoy discovering the origins of the monsters that we love to fear.
