I read this series back in 2014 while I was reading The Mother-Daughter Book Club series. In one of the books this is the book selection the girls and mothers read. I was surprised to have never heard of the series so I decided to give it a try. I didn't expect to enjoy it for the same reasons the girls in the TMDBC expected to dislike it. The first book is about girls who are 5 years old? In a chapter book? Meh. However, I ended up really liking the book and going on to complete the series. A few months ago I decided this is an enjoyable and fast read series. I wanted to reread them since I couldn't remember a lot of the details beyond I enjoyed them.

I enjoyed this book just as much on my second read through. A fun series to recommend to young readers.
