Light is one of the best books I have ever read. This is the second time of reading it. It’s a hard book; cruel at times. But it blazes with the light of consequence and infinite potential. Multi-stranded, set in two distinct timelines, on the one hand it’s space operatic, and on the other, a mindmap of human interpolations and ignorance. There is everything out there. Harrison is an underrated genius.
