I loved Crimson Petal and the White. It is one of my top 5 books ever read, and I'll never stop telling people to read it. I didn't know about the existence of this book for for some strange reason, but when I discovered it, I bought it right away!

I liked the fact that it's short stories that show a little snippet of the main characters. It's a nice way to preserve the story from a sequel, which he never wanted to do, but give the adoring readers some more content to feel like they're back in that world with old and new friends. I don't think there's a weak story in there, and I blew through the book the day I received it in the mail. The only hindrances were holiday company and falling asleep against my will!

If you're someone who loves Crimson Petal, or if you want a taste of his writing style this is a good snapshot. I'd not read the last two stories though if you haven't read the book, as they give away the ending of the original novel.
