This is the first book in a young adult paranormal series. Indigo is a junior in high school, a cheerleader and one of the popular crowd. Her mother has always been a little odd, calling herself a witch, and she owns a Wiccan shop. But the witch part throws itself into Indie's life full force when bad guys kidnap her mother and want Indie to unlock a binding spell on the witch bible that her family has protected for ages. With help from hunky warlock Bishop and her childhood friend Paige, Indie battles the bad guys to save the family Bible.

This book was a good, quick read. It had good elements of action, romance, humor and paranormal creatures. The characters are intelligent and brave. I will keep an eye out for book #2.

Everything changes for Indie one night when she experiences a death of a stranger and the next day is being interrogated by sorcerers, who are the witches enemies. Want to know more? Read the book!

I expected more witchy stuff in this book but that's okay! The story stayed intense and intriguing until the end. There was never a dull moment. Either Indie was running for her life from sorcerers, dealing with "friend's" drama or learning how to channel her witch energy with the help of Bishop, a warlock who kept following Indie to check up on her and soon became a friend.

This story was so sad! Not all of it (has to do with Indie's family), but there were parts where I just wanted to cry because it was so sad and it is very understandable if you have read the book. Indie is a very strong girl for having gone through what she did. I would have probably stayed in bed until I had gray hair. Experiencing what she did just by reading it, had me with an ache-filled chest. Of course, Bishop was always there to help cheer Indie and distract her from what was going on, even if he was acting like a jerk.

I always like male characters that are jerks and Bishop is no different. He isn't really a jerk, but has his moments. He is very sweet when he wants to be. He wears a leather jacket which makes him even hotter! When Indie saw the tattoo he has on his neck, my jaw dropped when she mentioned what it was. I hope my boyfriend never does that or I will throw a fit, I swear. 

I really wanted more witch craft and that's saying a lot because I'm not into witch stuff but this book was so good that had me wanting more! Thanks to this book, I will now be reading more witch books. I need CHARMED in my hands. I need that baby. I have to wait until next year (it sucks) to read what's going to happen next. It leaves a cliff hanger! Authors are conspiring against the reader, wanting to crush our feels. The epilogue confused me but its because its in another character's point of view; watch out for that so you don't get confused like I did.

All in all, AWESOME story! Go check it out and support Michelle so she keeps writing more books! We need more!

Witches will forever and always be my most favorite of the supernatural. (I know that my favorite series happens to be about vampires, but overall it's witches that I love.) I think it's because they are the most relate-able to humans. I mean face it they're humans with magic. An old friend and I even had a never-ending story going about witches and fairies. Can you guess which I was?

With that being said, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy Hexed or not. Hexed is just one among millions of witch books out there, and you have to have something pretty amazing to catch my attention. 

The beginning was a bit slow, but as the story progressed it picked up the pace. Things started to happen, and Indie began to learn who she was. (Being popular is not always what it looks to be) There were things that happened to her throughout the book that kept putting her in tough situations, but I believe she came out on top as best she could. -insert boy here-

What is it with these boys named Bishop that have this alluring factor to them. (See-The Book of Ivy) I'll admit at times I thought Bishop was an ass, but in time he became an ass that I liked. (personality wise people)

Paige is the kind of friend you always hope you'll have growing up, and then well on in to adult hood. Sure Indie treated her like a lepper for so many years, and then when Indie's life begin to crumble who was it she went to for help? Paige. She stood by Indie. I loved watching the friendship grow.

There were more characters throughout the story Jezebel (a hot with friend of Bishops), The Priory (Sorcerers set on killing witches), The Family (The Witches Coven basically), Aunt Penny (Indies wild Aunt), Leo (Bad guy), and more. I believe will see them a bit more in Charmed. Well at least some of them.

So with the pace and characters out of the way...
There was one main part in the book that had me grasping my seat and gasping for air. I literally had an intake of air when (view spoiler)[Indi's mom died. (hide spoiler)]

I do hope all goes good , but its it doesn't you are going to be mind blown  by this book. I still can't believe that by buying the 2nd book of this series, then going to read the first one. i think picking up a random book can help you choose a great one.

Such a good writer , you get intrigued to know what the characters are thinking and feeling. the plot is so good , at the end i'm still hooked. And yes i plan on reading the 2nd book for sure.

The world building is good its like 2015 meets magic world. I love it !  The length of this book was perfect not too long just enough to give the story time to grow.  Ending was perfect like i said it had a hook that make you still interested in the story.

 And book cover you know with the cover that its a witch book and  just love it.



Con: I need more than 300 pages for this one! 

Pro: THE FULLLLLL book ,  its just a really good book it made me cry, and have emotions, that what i need in a book!

well, I've read some of the one star reviews, and I understand why people don't like the book, it's just that these things don't bother me much. Yes, the characters are not the smartest, the story is simple, but I didn't expect more from Hexed. A primeira vez que vi a capa deste livro quis lê-lo. Tinha a sensação que não seria nada do que estava a pensar mas que iria gostar, que tinha de gostar dele, desse por onde desse. E foi exactamente isso que aconteceu. Hexed não foi, realmente, o que esperava e, apesar de não ser uma obra-prima nem um dos melhores livros do ano, a verdade é que é daqueles livros que nos dá um prazer enorme ler, mesmo com todos os seus defeitos. Tudo, graças à sua irreverência, tudo graças ao facto de pura e simplesmente não seguir as regras. Michelle Krys abusou da sorte e o resultado foi uma história entre o moderno e o tradicional, cheia de humor negro mas, ao mesmo tempo, juvenil e refrescante.
Quando lemos as primeiras páginas deste livro parece que estamos perante uma história banal, cliché até. Mas de repente, sem nos apercebermos, caímos numa montanha russa de fortes emoções onde o banal dá lugar à irreverência e a normalidade afinal, nunca existiu. Viciante, divertido, diferente, esta é uma história tão capaz de nos fazer rir como arrepiar, tão cheia de humor como de tensão. De acção rápida constante, é uma leitura que obriga o leitor a ler noite dentro, que o mantêm sobressaltado página a página e nos pega as maiores partidas quando menos esperámos. 
Bruxas que voam, feitiços sussurrantes, vestes negras e livros maléficos, dão a esta história o bom e velho tradicionalismo que nunca passa de moda, criando um encontro deveras delicioso entre o mundo dos nossos dias e as ideias pré-concebidas da nossa imaginação. Querem vingança e sangue, fazem o que for preciso para isso. E eu gosto disso. Gosto que a Indigo seja parva no início para depois vê-la crescer e mostrar do que é feita. Gosto que ela pense que quer uma coisa para depois lutar ferozmente pelo que realmente quer. Gosto que ela seja uma adolescente que se está a tornar uma mulher. E venero a Michelle por ter dispensado a típica protagonista enjoada e perfeita. Só por isso, obrigada por teres escrito este livro, porque se há coisa que ele nos ensina, é que um herói está onde menos se espera. 
Longe de ser perfeito, Hexed é um livro que tem, no entanto, bastante potencial e, mesmo que o segundo ainda não seja bom, eu tenho a certeza que, um dia, Michelle Krys irá escrever algo bombástico. Mas enquanto não o faz, arrisquem e leiam este.

This book was amazing!!!

I haven't had a good experience with Witch series and this has been an exception. It was really good and once you started to ask questions, I felt like the author would answer them a few paragraphs ahead.

Obviously, I know there are some unanswered questions, since this is a series but I have hope that in her second book, we will find out more.

This book had laughter and sadness and OMG moments. Plus I love the names of the characters.

I'm happy the author didn't really develop Indigo into her full powers in the book. I want to grow with her throughout the series.
