Having read this in one sitting, I have to say it had potential. Many of the plots and characters were fine, on the surface, but they weren't developed enough for me. Only the two main characters were and aside from them, I felt the story didn't hold without them. My concern with the overall narrative is that it involves cheating, which should not be glorified at all, especially with high schoolers. It felt weird to subject that to these characters when she could have just broken it off instead of purposely hurting others' feelings. It felt weird and uncomfortable to read this story because of that. I actually liked the overall plot, a tomboy and a bad boy get together despite the good boy being the one she should be with... it is a really great plot, I felt it just needed better writing. Better development. And overall a better scenario. It did not feel realistic to me, the high school experience did not seem factual and I think that is what took me out of the story. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me. The voice and tone were a bit too young, I would say this demographic is closer to 12 than 20.

Thanks to Wattpad Books for a free advanced copy for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this book. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Macy is a tomboy who loves playing soccer and hanging with the guys. She has a crush on golden boy Cedric. Sam, the bad boy who is Cedric's cousin, keeps popping up and getting under her skin. Just when she thinks she knows who she likes.... think again. This story is funny and had me rooting for Macy. I recommend it to anyone who liked the movie She's the Man.

Hace dos años este libro fue el primero que leí en wattpad y me re marcó. Me encanta la historia aunque no sea de la mejor literatura que existe y es un libro de comfort.
Cuando lo estaba leyendo me di cuenta de la cantidad de cosas que la autora cambió, y me dio un poco de pena porque yo lo conocí de otra manera.
Igualmente la historia es muy tierna, es una leída super rápida y divertida.

This is a really good book. I am normally not the biggest love triangle fan but I actually really enjoyed it in this book. I loved the way the characters were developed and how lots of other issues were woven into the romance that this book was based on. I got a little emotional at the end but that could’ve just been me! I would recommend this book especially if you are looking for one with a good love triangle trope in it. I’m

The Bad Boy and the Tomboy is a book about a romance between Sam (a cute British bad boy) and Macy (a somewhat stereotypical tomboy) with a lot of twists. 
was a really cute read, and I really enjoyed it. It's definitely a perfect book to read something light and to relax after a tough day. I like how cliche it was - I mean, we all hear about cliches in books and it was nice to actually read something like that. Though Macy was too stereotypical for me - I want a tomboy who likes wearing dresses and stuff like that. And Sam is definitely book boyfriend material despite his rather obvious aggression problems. I really liked how action-packed this book was - a lot of contemporaries have only one like plot, and this one had a lot of twists, and the romance wasn't just thrown into our faces.
I didn't like how quickly all relationships progressed - I wish we got to see more of the relationship Macy has with other boys rather than just a few sentences. And the phone calls were too short - they usually lasted for two sentences, and it might it harder for me to get into that. And Caleb is my favourite character ever - he needs his own book (actually he needs two - one for his theories).
