I wanted to like this book, in theory it has a lot of themes that interest me. Unfortunately, I found the writing style dry and dispassionate. I didn't feel any rapport with any of the characters and the mystery itself wasn't particularly enthralling. 

There was nothing terribly bad about the book, but there was also nothing to draw me in either. It left me pretty cold.
