Reviews

***REVIEW IS FOR FULL COMIC*** There's not a single bad thing I can say about this comic. It deserves so much more love.

Paper Girls, Volume 6 by Brian K. Vaughan is the conclusion of the Paper Girls comic. The four girls, shown on the cover as adults, must work together with their future selves across different chunks in time to save the universe and get home. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2019/comm...

The end is here with a bit of a whimper...but overall this is bittersweet ending.

4 stars | great final volume đđłïžâđ

blew through all six volumes in a day and i honestly loved every second of it. the art and coloring was out of this world, there were so many panels i would stop reading and just take in bc they were breathtaking. i love the details in this story and where it would wind around to, it wasnât totally what i expected, especially from a timey-wimey plotline, and i like that. i think the only reason why iâm rating this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ending felt a tiny bit rushed, and i donât have questions but there were a few things i suppose i wouldâve liked explored/explained more. it was also kind of bittersweet, and while i didnât dislike that, it made me sad it was over. not sure if thatâs a negative though lol anyway iâm super glad i read this it was such a good time

So sad this series is over bit glad it ended the way it did. The graphics are awesome.

** spoiler alert ** cada vez que KJ se referĂa a Mac como su novia >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Igual quĂ© desastre eso de los viajes en el tiempo, creo que terminĂ© por no entender nada

Not going to lie it had been a while since i read Vol.5 so i was *big* boy confused at the beginning BUT thatâs on me. Otherwise loved the ending and all the ties of the loose ends, and the illustrations were INCREDIBLE. PHENOMENAL.

This whole series is a solid 4.5/5. I wouldnât quite give it a 5, and Iâm not sure why. I feel like a little something was missing to make it really amazing. BUT itâs still a great series, that should be binge-read to be fully appreciated, just like Stranger Things is much better when binge-watched imo. It reads like episodes. I love me a kids-on-bikes-in-the-80âs-encounter-aliens type of story (big fan of E.T. and, inevitably, Super 8 and Stranger Things đđ»).

Vol 6: 4.25 stars Series overall: 3 stars Honestly, this was the best volume out of all of them. I can genuinely say that this was the only volume where I was so excited to turn each page and figure out what was going to happen next, and I had to slow myself down to enjoy the artwork. I love love love the split panel of each of the 4 characters as they made their way towards each other. It was so cool to see the different color pallets of each of world. At the end of volume 5, I was a bit nervous about splitting the girls up, but it worked out really well. I both loved and hated the ending. It was so frustrating that we go through this whole adventure with them to only end with it being so... mundane. I was heartbroken yet hopeful. I think I have to get used to the fact that no everything needs a perfectly happy ending, and the last page was just open-ended enough to give me some hope. Overall, the series is still a 3 star for me. I was along for the ride, but just confused for way too much of it. I felt like Mac's character was the weakest for me in that she had too sudden of a personality change from vol 1-5 then how she was at the very end of vol 5 and the majority of vol 6. I think that the confusing nature of the graphic novel stems maybe 50% from storytelling and 50% from the fact that the author decided to focus on time travel. Time travel is inherently confusing and it's so easy to get into a mind fuck about time loops and reality. Either way, definitely a fun read, can't wait to get into Saga next!

This issue truly brings the whole series together.

A bittersweet ending to a bizarre and wonderful series. Iâm still not 100% I know what was going on a lot of the time (science and me to not get on) but that didnât take away from my enjoyment. Iâm going to miss this group of girls and their strange adventure but I canât wait to see what the tv adaptation is going to be like.
