This book probably needs no introduction but still, if you haven't read this please go and grab it. Or you can always watch the movie. To be honest, I really enjoyed the movie, it is very accurate but the book offers SO much more to this beautiful story. The plot is set in eighteenth-century France and we have as a main character Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. He was born with an absolute sense of smell. He also doesn't have a scent at all. Through his difficult life, he will become obsessed with capturing all kinds of smells. This was utterly unique and weird. The atmosphere was full of mystery, thrill, and magic. It grabbed me like no other.
