Theo and Matilda

In 770 or thereabouts a young peasant boy is taken into a monastery because he has the gift of song. He is christened Theodore. To the same monastery comes Princess Matilda, whose husband suffers an unlucky accident with a swarm of bees. The love story is repeated five time over the centuries, from the Middle Ages to today, as each pair of lovers discovers love's eternal nature.
