It was... cute? I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but it was pretty interesting for the first hundred pages. The problem can when it felt like too many human level emotions were being applied to each animal character, and it seemed like it maybe drifted more into a soap opera idea of the dinosaur stories than trying to look at facts.

Like, I get that there will be playing, but will there be sledding down hills? I don't know, that seems odd. We can obviously assume there were complex thoughts going on, but I think more mention of research or facts might have kept me interested during these parts. It also got annoying when things were explained as if you were the creature (hmm, weird bugs? Tasty) and then he danced around explaining it for some reason. I would have rather he just told me, but that's obviously just my preference.

Definitely a good book for a dinosaur loving kid, probably closer to the teens. I mean I read it in a day, but I think it would have been more enjoyable if I were younger than an adult when I read it for the first time.
