Bad Houses is about a set of interconnected lives in a small town. From a girl dealing with her mother that hoards, to the emotionally stunted mother and son estates sale team, the characters are very real, and their problems complex. The art was also lovely, detailed, and expressive. I had some issues with the pacing. The climax was quite sudden, and I would have appreciated spending some more time with the characters as their deal with their crises. 

I should warn readers that there are a few books with a page problem. My copy ended at 112 and I found it to be the most unsatisfying, bizarre ending until I checked page counts online.
